- 1/4 c all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 c butter softened
- 3/4 c granulated sugar
- 3/4 c brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla or grated peel of 1 orange
- 3 c quick or old fashioned oats
- 1-2/3 c (11 oz pkg) butterscotch flavored morsels
2. Combine flour, baking soda cinnamon and salt in small bowl.
3. In large mixer bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
4. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
5. Stir in oats and morsels.
For Cookies:
6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
7. Bake for 7-8 minutes for chewy cookies; 9-10 minutes for crisp cookies.
8. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes.
For Bars:
6. Spread dough into greased 15x10 in jelly-roll pan. .
8. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until light brown.
9. Cool completely in pan.
10. Cut into bars and serve
Makes 4 dozen cookies or bars.
